Name of the Event: The Lavasa Women’s Drive, 2010 Date of Event: 7th March, 2010 Venue Details: Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai to Lavasa, Pune Event Organised By: Times Red Cell Details of the Event: Cloud 9 was the Energy Drink Partner of the Lavasa Women’s Drive, which was to celebrate the World Women’s Day. This rally was also an initiative to raise awareness and aid for women’s cancer. Cloud 9 was a proud partner in raising funds which was donated towards the Women’s Cancer Initiative of Tata Memorial Hospital, a non-governmental, non-profit organization aimed at creating awareness about cancer that affects women and other such issues. The Lavasa Women’s Car Rally was also supported by Bollywood starts. Event Attended by: The Lavasa Women’s Car rally turned out to be a star studded event. World beauty Gul Panag, Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone, Dino Morea, Dia Mirza, Tisca Chopra and Ila Arun were a part of the event. The function was also attended by Cloud 9’s Director Mr. Keval Ganatra President, President Mr. Gopal Jumani. Mr. Keval Gantra, Director of Cloud 9 & Ila Arun to cheer the participants who created awareness about various types of cancer inflicting women by driving close to 180 km all the way from Mumbai to Lavasa. Bollywood hotties Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone flagged off the participants from the Bandra Kurla Complex on Sunday morning March 7, 2010.     Participants who were making way for the stunning drive to Lavasa. President of Cloud 9, Mr. Gopal Jumani and Bollywood actor Dino Morea also made their present to support the cause of Lavasa Women’s Drive, 2010 .

The award ceremony was also in support of, ‘BETI,’ a movement creating awareness about female foeticide, with a special focus on the rampant killing of the girl child being perpetrated across the country. The function also included mesmerising performances from stars of both the Big and Small Screen which was followed by a cocktail party and dinner.
